BURNT Mission----Improving The Environment Through Citizen Involvement
With Government, Business, and Academia
We did not start with this mission. During one of our planning sessions we discussed
what we did, how we did it, and our goals. This is our mission. We want to change
policy and we know that is not going to happen without working with government and
business. And, our central point is citizen involvement--just by being in the room we
change the dynamics of policy. And our issues are invariably multi-year because we
deal with property rights, permits, and changing laws.
