PUBLIC MEETING NOTICE--Concrete Over Dickson County Landfill

Major, four lane road construction CLOSE TO DICKSON COUNTY LANDFILL is planned. Our concerns about this road (which will run very close to the landfill) include:

  • Who is protecting the financial interests of the black, multi-generation, primarily agricultural families which have been severely injured by the hazardous/toxic waste dumping at the landfill?

  • This pollution has spread three (3) miles in fifteen years through cracks and fissures in karst geology--will road building and subsequent traffic and development make this worse?

  • Every area of Dickson county went up in value in the recent tax assessment EXCEPT around the landfill--speculators, profiteers, and the government will buy land at rock bottom prices and make profits. The Eno Road families need protection and expert help.

  • From city and county government, to state government, to federal government, the Dickson County landfill has been a travesty of terrible government decisions fueled by ignorance and environmental injustice. No government agency or their bought and paid water consultants have credibility here.

When: Tuesday, November 6th from 6:00 – 8:00pm.

Where: Dickson County High School Cafeteria

                        509 Henslee Drive

                        Dickson Tennessee   37055
